Even in Tekken 7 and Tag 2 where Leo speaks german it's unclear, but with the dialogue in those games it seems to be male focused. In Tekken 6 Leo spoke in English (when the character's didn't speak their native languages since Tekken 6 was international, the only character's that spoke their native languages were the asian character's) Leo's voice was genderly ambiguous and could be interpreted as male or female. There is no official gender for Leo, although in Tekken 7, they canonically refer to Leo as male with male pronouns in Leo's character episode, which is semi-canon, since this is also's Yoshi's ending, and either ending could be canon, but the reason it's semi-canon is because the text they give at the start is canon to the character's story motivation, the ending itself is up for debate on whether it's canon or not.īrief History on Leo's gender in Tekken 6, and how some information about Leo's gender has changed since the reveal of Leo's gender from the devs Leo was designed to have an ambiguous gender. My long and boring opinion on Leo's gender on what I think the devs intentions was with this character.
